Standing on 2024 online purchase and marketing is a global phenomenon. Often flattered and really irreplaceable. The first thing e-commerce platforms offer is tons of information. Price, variety, availability, and even about duplicate products.

In my personal opinion, more than 50% of the online traffic of e-commerce websites is not visiting with a fastened intent to shop. A large number is just comparing, observing, checking, and planning by comparing offered products in different spaces.

On May 20, 2015, a new e-commerce platform went public. Within the coming 9 years, the Market share of Shopify in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany. Shopify has the biggest market share in the USA with 28% in 2024. Though it seems just more than one-fifth of the total market, the real numbers can be shaking. Or even haunting for its competitors. There are currently 2+ million merchants and 4.6 million live websites using Shopify

What was the script behind this dramatic success? The design of the platform or adopting the mindset of potential users? That would be a long debate to start.
